A flush ridge is a traditional ridge which has no block. It sits on the apex and is fixed with hazel spars and appears as an integral part of the thatched roof.

Ridges are always constructed in combed wheat straw. This is a pliable, durable material.

Typically, the ridge should last at least 10-12 years.
